Paternoster Accommodation
"A small fisherman's village on the West Coast, 150km north of Cape Town, on the R27, got its name from prayers said by shipwrecked sailors. "Patre Nostre", today PATERNOSTER, translated from Latin means "Our Father".
This beautiful and tranquil fisherman's village with its white painted fishing cottages is a gift from "Our Father" to enjoy by all. There is not much to do, except to relax and recharge body and soul, go for long strolls on the white sandy beach, enjoy fresh fish, crayfish (Nov.- Apr.) sold by the local fisherman, spectacular sunsets and the friendly hospitality of the residents of Paternoster. During July to September, the landscape is changed into a breathe taking view of wild veld flowers in full bloom.
Paternoster is close to the Columbine Nature Reserve, Cape Columbine Lighthouse, Tieties Bay. Darling, Langebaan, St Helena Bay and the Swartland Wine Route are all places of interest that can be visited while staying in Paternoster.
