"A small fisherman's village on the West Coast, 150km north of Cape Town, on
the R27, got its name from prayers said by shipwrecked sailors. "Patre
Nostre", today PATERNOSTER, translated from Latin means "Our Father".
This beautiful and tranquil fisherman's village with its white painted
fishing cottages is a gift from "Our Father" to enjoy by all. There is not
much to do, except to relax and recharge body and soul, go for long strolls
on the white sandy beach, enjoy fresh fish, crayfish (Nov.- Apr.) sold by
the local fisherman, spectacular sunsets and the friendly hospitality of the
residents of Paternoster. During July to September, the landscape is changed
into a breathe taking view of wild veld flowers in full bloom.
On the upper level - 2 x open plan self catering units, a mere 30 meters
from the beach. The units cater for only 2 people per unit
Each unit is equip with a queen bed, bar fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots,
toaster, kettle, microwave, small kitchenette (oven & 2 plates), etc. The
bathroom has a shower, sorry no bath. Bedding and towels provided.
On the ground level - 1 x smaller self catering unit, with its own little
garden and webber braai, only 30 meters from the beach. The unit is equip
with a queen bed, bar fridge, cutlery, crockery, toaster, kettle, microwave,

TV channels available in each unit - Movie magic 1 & 2, Super Sport 1, 2 &
3, MNet, SABC 1, 2 & 3 and e-TV.
You have a magnificent view over the beach, from where you can watch
spectacular sunsets, while you braai and enjoy a glass or two of the local
brewed wines.
All you need to bring is your own beach towels, food and drink.

Paternoster is close to the Columbine Nature Reserve, Cape Columbine
Lighthouse, Tieties Bay. Darling, Langebaan, St Helena Bay and the Swartland
Wine Route are all places of interest that can be visited while staying in
Paternoster."
